Canadian Band Association (ON)
Sophisticated Swing is a member of the CBA(ON) and has participated 3 times in the CBA(ON) Big Band Showcase. This association supports the work of community concert bands and big bands throughout Ontario while preserving the legacy and perpetuation of band music in this province.
Oakville Wind Orchestra
Several musicians from Sophisticated Swing play regularly in this outstanding, 50-piece community concert band under the musical direction of Chris Arthurs. They perform in the greater Oakville area; most notably in a series of free Tuesday-evening concerts at Coronation park in July and early August. They are a registered Ontario non-profit organization.
Come Dancing Ontario
This dance studio is operated in Paris, ON, by former Ontario Dance champion finalists Phillip and Tracey Worrall. Phillip and Tracey gave several magnificent ballroom dance performances during our series of Big Band Dances entitled "Big Band Night at the Rite" held at the Scottish Rite Club in Hamilton last year.
Danceline Studios
Sophisticated Swing has also worked with Sheri Gay of Danceline Studios in Hamilton, ON. We were partners in presentations at the Hamilton Bridal Show, Appelby Place Retirement Home in Burlington, and at the H.M.C.S. Haida Shore Leave Party in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the founding of the Royal Canadian Navy.
